If you have just installed Xooloo Parental Control, follow the instructions listed below.

Check the following points and, if necessary, contact Custumer Support:

  1. Do you have a firewall/anti-virus?
    If so, check your firewall's "Application Settings" to ensure that the java.exe program (all those installed on your computer), PCXooloo.exe, PCXoolooHelper.exe and PCDashboard.exe are on "Authorized" mode. This will make it possible for Parental Control to connect to the Internet and filter the pages you view.
  2. Are you using a connection accelerator?
    If so, deactivate it, then restart your computer and come back to this page.
  3. Do you use Mozilla or Nescape as your Web browser?
    If so, install Firefox and follow the instructions in Point 2.
    or
    Manually set a HTTP proxy (only) connection to the Internet, using the proxy address 127.0.0.1 and Port 4343.

If you have already been filtered by Parental Control

  1. If you have installed or changed your firewall settings, check the "Application Settings" for your firewall to ensure that the java.exe program (all those installed on your computer), PCXooloo.exe, PCXoolooHelper.exe and PCDashboard.exe are on "Authorized" mode. This will make it possible for Parental Control to connect to the Internet and filter the pages you view.
  2. If not, refer to the documentation (go to the application's Tools => Help Menu).
